Our Master Distiller Karina Rojo Takes Over Chicago

chasing life like a bandido

Last weekend, El Bandido Yankee brought our master distiller and all-around tequila icon, Karina Rojo, to the Windy City for her very first Bandido-style tour of Chicago. Let’s just say, we did not hold back. From race cars to baseball diamonds, Karina got the full VIP (Very Important Bandido) treatment.

THURSDAY: BIKES, BOTTLES, AND A BANDIDO WELCOME

We kicked things off in pure adrenaline mode with the NHRA race in Joliet. Karina got a front-row seat to the action: checking out the bikes, hanging with our racing crew, and of course, toasting with El Bandido Yankee. Because what pairs better with horsepower than high-proof tequila?

Next stop: Binny’s. Fans of El Bandido Yankee came out to meet Karina, sip her liquid artistry, and get their bottles signed by the legend herself.

FRIDAY: BASEBALL, BLEACHERS & BANDIDO LEGENDS

Karina and our co-founder Chris Chelios shared sips, stories, and baseball banter at our go-to spot, Murphy’s Bleachers, before heading into the Cubs vs. White Sox game. For Karina, an avid baseball fan, this was the ideal day.

SATURDAY: TEQUILA TOURISTS AND CITY SIPS

We took Karina on a tequila-fueled sightseeing spree, stopping at some of our favorite Bandido hotspots like Nobu Chicago and Adalina, where she was served the Bandido Tequila Espresso Martini, complete with our signature bandit head printed right on the foam. She was impressed with the detail.

SUNDAY & MONDAY: CLOSING WITH A CURTAIN CALL (AND A FIRST PITCH)

Sunday we ran it back with another Cubs vs. Sox faceoff, but this time, Karina was on the field with Chelios as he threw the first pitch. Not bad for her first trip to Wrigley, right?

We wrapped up the whirlwind weekend with an industry night at Tabú, where Chicago’s best bartenders, influencers, and tequila connoisseurs gathered to meet the woman behind El Bandido Yankee’s award-winning juice.

CHICAGO, YOU BROKE OUT THE BANDIDO.

From Joliet’s racetrack to the field at Wrigley, Karina Rojo experienced what it means to Chase Life like a Bandido.

Until next time, Chi-Town… ¡Salud!
